Have you recently qualified and looking for an organizational setting to support the development of your private practice?
Or maybe you have already established your practice but interested in being a part of a holistic culturally inclusive team?
If so, why not join us!
We're looking for qualified and experienced Counsellors / Psychotherapists to join our holistic, creative, intercultural, therapeutic team.
We are primarily an online service, offering support to a national & international client base; but have some limited in-person / face-to-face working opportunities from our shared office in Forest Hill, Southeast London.
As we are a complex trauma focused service, practitioners are required to be robust & psychoanalytically informed, to enable the depth of thinking necessary to aid the healing of deep seated emotional wounds within our client base.
We encourage that applicants 'come as you are', bringing your skills & interests to the team to share. We are looking for passionate and motivated qualified or experienced trainee therapists with genuine interests that contribute towards improving mental health access, experience and outcomes for people of colour, racialised, marginalized and minoritized groups. In addition to this, we welcome experience and/or interest in workshop facilitation and research.
Our unique integration of African-centred UBUNTU philosophy and intercultural psychotherapy contributes towards the ACIT approach we embrace within our service delivery, which considers culture, ethnicity, identity and spirituality as fundamental aspects within the clients mental health experience.
ACIT (African-centred Intercultural Therapy™), an approach developed by Beverley J Weston, is an integration of Eurocentric/Western Psychology & Black/African Psychology, philosophy & indigenous wisdom.
Our Eurocentric theoretical foundation is Integrative Psychodynamic with Humanistic relational principles. African/Black Psychology is humanistic in nature and advocates for a whole person (mind body and spirit) approach.
Bring your spiritual gifts, creative mindset and psychological skills to help heal the community and contribute towards generational change.
You will:
Qualified Associates £35 per hour
Experienced Trainees £20 (with at least 100 supervised placement hours)
Please complete an application form and email your CV to Beverley at support@ayatrainindevelopment.com
